Woodland Walk

Jacket: Seven  Top: Vince  Jeans: Seven For All Mankind  Scarf: American Apparel  Boots: Hunter  Watch: Michael Kors  Bracelets: Macy's Fine Jewelry and Brandy Melville

There is nothing like a stroll in the woods to make you feel closer to nature. While in Tahoe I loved being able to breathe the fresh air and take in some beautiful scenery. On this particular drizzly day I was happy to finally have a chance to wear my Hunter wellies. Not only are they great for rain, but with some thick wool socks they're also great for the snow. For my casual walk I chose to wear my coziest oversized thermal striped long-sleeve, jeans, and my favorite rain jacket. Now that the weather is starting to get a bit harsher it is the perfect time to find great coats, scarves, and boots that will not only keep you warm, but show off your style as well. I recommend investing in a chic fitted pea coat or trench, some oversized infinity scarves, and boots you can wear in any weather. The best thing about colder weather is that you get to layer and wear all the pieces you've had hiding in your closet. The changing seasons presents a chance to reinvent your fashion and find great ways to combine form and function.

Thanksgiving

Vest: Dixie  Shirt: Lani  Scarf: Italian Market  Coat: Ellie Tahari  Jeans: Paige  Boots: Cole Hann  Sunglasses: Chanel

Thanksgiving is such a wonderful time to spend with family and enjoy some great food. I'm very grateful to be spending the holiday with my family in Lake Tahoe at my aunt and uncle's B&B Heavenly Valley Lodge. Being surrounded by woods, clean mountain air, and wonderful people is such a treat. Being here in the cold I finally have a chance to wear some winter clothes that the unseasonably warm fall hasn't allowed anywhere else. My wardrobe here has been all about warm boots, comfy long sleeve shirts, thick coats, and scarves. For Thanksgiving I was finally able to break out my new fur vest and a great long scarf I picked up in Italy. Making some sweet treats like candy turkeys, gingerbread moose cookies, and chocolate acorns, pictured above, have added a fun touch to the holiday. One day I look forward to making my own Thanksgiving meal, but for now I'm happy to help, decorate, and learn some secret family recipes. Wishing everyone an incredibly delicious Thanksgiving!

Ocean Aire

Look One: Dress: Gap  Shoes: Gap  Sunglasses: Ray Ban

Look Two: Blouse: Trouve  Leggings: Zella  Scarf: Monoprix Flats: Gap  Sunglasses: Ray Ban

Two of my favorite looks are shift dresses with flats and leggings with an oversized silk blouse. Both outfits are always comfortable and great for warmer weather. Whenever I visit the coast I enjoy nautical-looking pieces and lightweight materials. My first look is great for a sunny day and has touch of sailor striped inspiration. As soon as I saw this dress I fell in love with the bright blue color and flattering shape. I love how classic and stylish stripes look. If you're not a big fan of prints like me, stripes are a good way to add an interesting aesthetic to your wardrobe.

For my second look I wore one of my favorite oversized silk tops, my live-in leggings, and a lace print scarf. Pairing nude and black pieces always creates a classic look. In order not be overtaken by an oversized blouse make sure to wear tight leggings or skinny jeans. Add a scarf or necklace and you have an easy everyday outfit. This is also my favorite outfit to wear on long flights. For a visit to the seaside make sure to pick some easy chic pieces that you can stay cool in and don't forget your sunglasses!

City Spotlight: Italian Riviera

(Gorgeous Beach View)

(Boats Anchored Off Portofino)

(Antique Shopping)

(Santa Margherita)

The Italian Riviera is one of the most beautiful places in Italy. I was very lucky that I traveled there while the weather was still nice. This is absolutely one of the places you want to visit when the sun is out and the water is warm. There are some amazing towns to visit including Vernazza, Riomaggiore, Manarola, Santa Margerita, and Portofino. The style here centers around classic beachwear, sandals, and large hats during the spring, summer, and early fall. If you have some great cruisewear, oversized sunglasses, or some jeweled sandals this is the place to wear them. The Italian Riviera is a destination for relaxing, shopping, boating, eating, and tanning. The shopping here encompasses everything from clothes to authentic Italian foods. Make sure to take some spending money. Also try the famous pesto, olives, and unique pastas this region is known for. I guarantee you will find something to love about the Italian Riviera with all that is has to offer.
